Dapr is a runtime for developing event-driven microservices by codifying&nbsp;different microservice patterns. Private Link carries traffic privately, which reduces your exposure to threats and helps you meet compliance standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can now use&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/services\/private-link\/#how-it-works\">Azure Private Link to connect to an Azure Cache for Redis instance<\/a>&nbsp;from your virtual network via a private endpoint&nbsp;which is assigned a private IP address in a subnet within the virtual network. Once a private endpoint is created, all access to your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/services\/cache\/\">Azure Cache for Redis<\/a>&nbsp;instances will be restricted to only connections using the private IP addresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"azure-dev-spaces-is-retiring-on-31-october-2023\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/updates\/azure-dev-spaces-is-retiring-on-31-october-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\">Azure Dev Spaces is retiring<\/a> on 31 October 2023<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Azure Dev Spaces is retiring and replaced by <a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/bridge-to-k8s-ga\">Bridge to Kubernetes<\/a>, which provides a lighter-weight alternative to many of the development scenarios that Azure Dev Spaces supports and is now GA. You can use Bridge to Kubernetes viw&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/migrate-to-bridge-vs\">Visual Studio<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aka.ms\/migrate-to-bridge-vsc\">Visual Studio Code<\/a> extensions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"app-service-private-endpoints-now-generally-available\">App Service Private Endpoints now generally available<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/updates\/app-service-private-endpoints-ga\/\" target=\"_blank\">Azure App Service support for Private Endpoints has now entered General Availabilit<\/a>y in all Azure public regions for both Windows and Linux apps. Private Endpoints enables you to consume your app through a specific IP address located in your Azure Virtual Network (VNet), eliminating exposure to the public internet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"azure-role-based-access-control-rbac-for-azure-key-vault-data-plane-authorization-is-now-in-preview\">Azure role-based access control (RBAC) for Azure Key Vault data plane authorization is now in preview<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s now possible to use Azure role-based access control (RBAC) for KeyVault authorization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/azure\/key-vault\/general\/rbac-guide\">Learn more<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"azure-key-vault-event-grid-integration-is-now-available\">Azure Key Vault Event Grid integration is now available<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Azure Key Vault is now integrated into Azure Event Grid. That means that you can now use KeyVault triggers, like the change of a key or certificate, in your Azure Logic Apps, Functions and every other service that&#8217;s able to subscribe to an Event Grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More info on <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/azure\/event-grid\/event-schema-key-vault\">Azure Event Grid event schema for Azure Key Vault<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"announcing-akri-an-open-source-project-for-building-a-connected-edge-with-kubernetes\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/cloudblogs.microsoft.com\/opensource\/2020\/10\/20\/announcing-akri-open-source-project-building-connected-edge-kubernetes\/\" target=\"_blank\">Announcing Akri, an open source project for building a connected edge with Kubernetes<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Microsoft is announcing Akri. Akri is a Kubernetes-native project for exposing edge leaf devices as resources in a Kubernetes cluster by providing an abstraction layer for finding, utilizing, and monitoring the availability of leaf devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Akri is  handling the dynamic appearance and disappearance of leaf devices. For example, you can set up &#8220;spot&#8221; workloads to only run when compute ressources are available at a particular cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"general-availability-azure-kubernetes-service-support-for-proximity-placement-groups\">General Availability: Azure Kubernetes Service support for proximity placement groups<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the factors affecting <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/updates\/ga-aks-support-for-proximity-placement-groups\/\" target=\"_blank\">Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) application l<\/a>atency performance is network latency due to the physical distance between agent nodes. You can now associate a proximity placement group with an AKS node pool in order to co-locate agent nodes and minimize node to node latency. This enables AKS to support latency-sensitive workloads in critical business scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-white-color\">.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"generate-azure-functions-using-azure-api-management-extension-for-visual-studio-code\">Generate Azure Functions using Azure API Management extension for Visual Studio Code<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can now generate <a href=\"https:\/\/azure.microsoft.com\/en-us\/updates\/generate-azure-functions-using-azure-api-management-extension-for-visual-studio-code\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Azure Functions using Azure API Management<\/a> extension for Visual Studio Code. This new experimental capability can help you scaffold all the necessary functions for your API based on the API definitions. Once generated, you can add the business logic to each function as necessary.
