What we do

We don’t just sell cloud solutions: we develop, operate and optimize them for our customers.

Our focus is on Cloud Native Development, Platform Engineering, Developer Productivity and AI Engineering on Microsoft Azure.

Our Mission

We help companies successfully use cloud and AI technologies: not as an end in themselves, but to solve concrete business problems.

To do this, we develop modern software, make teams more productive and use AI where it really makes a difference.

Our team

The people behind white duck: highly specialized software, platform and AI engineers as well as cloud solution architects who accompany your cloud project from the initial idea to operation.
We work in small, cross-functional teams in which everyone takes responsibility for the result.

Community Engagement

We learn every day. And we share what we learn.

Our projects constantly bring us into contact with new technologies, challenges and ideas. The experience we gain in the process not only flows into customer projects, but also back into the community.

Whether it’s at meetups, conferences, or blog posts, we want to share our knowledge, share best practices, and help others learn faster and build better solutions.

Job offers

We develop and operate cloud-native and AI solutions on Microsoft Azure, for customers ranging from startups to corporations. To this end, we are looking for colleagues who are keen to work with modern technologies and AI-supported tools, take on responsibility and develop together with us.

In addition to permanent positions, we also offer working students, interns and theses (Bachelor’s, Master’s) a job with us.

To expand our team in Rosenheim or remotely, we are looking for the following with immediate effect:

  • Cloud Native Developer (m/f/d)

At white duck, we develop modern cloud-native applications on the Microsoft Azure platform with a clear focus on clean software engineering, high code quality and sustainable architectures.

As a Cloud Native Developer, you will work hands-on on line-of-business applications as well as intelligent, AI-based solutions. In doing so, you will translate business requirements into clean, maintainable code and work closely with our Platform Engineering, Developer Productivity and Managed Services teams.

AI tools and coding agents are an integral part of your everyday life – from analysis to implementation and testing to reviews and documentation.

    Your tasks

    • Design and implementation of line-of-business and AI applications
    • Implementation of modern architectural patterns (e.g. 12-factor apps, API-first)
    • Close collaboration with the Platform and Managed Services team
    • Use of AI tools and coding agents to support analysis, implementation, refactoring, and testing

    Your profile

    • Openness and ability to use AI-supported development productively
    • Several years of experience in the development of cloud-native applications
    • Very good knowledge of at least one programming language (preferably C#, Python)
    • Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure and DevOps principles
    • Structured way of working, team mindset and quality standards
    • Security Basics (Identity, Secrets, Least Privilege)
    • Very good knowledge of German and English

Nice to have (not a must)

    • Experience with containers (Kubernetes experience is an advantage)
    • Interest in developer experience, tooling and platform topics
    • Community engagement, open source or tech blogging

    Certifications (Plus, not required)

    • Microsoft: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Developer Assistant
    • GitHub Certifications

    Working method and location

    • Remote or On-site in Rosenheim
    • Occasional willingness to travel
    • Community engagement (talks, open source, blog) is welcome

  • Cloud Solution Architect - Kubernetes & Platform Engineering (m/f/d)

We build Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) and cloud-native AI platforms on Microsoft Azure, making development teams faster, more secure, and more efficient. As a Cloud Solution Architect in our Platform Engineering team, you will be the bridge between customer requirements and technical reality: You will design target images, lead projects professionally, accompany our customers from the vision to stable operation – and stay close enough to the implementation to know what you are talking about.

Your role will focus on architecture, consulting, and technical project ownership. At the same time, you'll work closely with our Cloud Native Development, Developer Productivity Team, and Managed Services team to holistically optimize developer experience, security, operations, and delivery end-to-end – and help shape how we talk about topics such as platform engineering, agentic DevOps, and AI-powered engineering to the outside world.

    Your Role

    • You will design cloud-native architectures on Azure – landing zones, AKS platforms, GitOps operating models, IaC strategies – and make technical trade-offs decision-making for customers
    • You will design internal developer platforms (e.g. with GitHub, Crossplane, Backstage, etc.) as well as cloud-native AI platforms and continuously improve developer experience, security and compliance
    • You will develop target images, migration paths and roadmaps and implement them technically together with the team
    • You will manage projects and sub-projects professionally, coordinate stakeholders and be responsible for the achievement of technical goals – without disciplinary personnel responsibility
    • You will bring Agentic DevOps and AI-based tooling into delivery and operational processes in an architecturally clean way – traceable, secure and controllable
    • In the future, you will develop further in the direction of a principal architect or professional responsibility for a consulting focus

    Your tasks in consulting

    • Customer contact at eye level: requirements analysis, architecture reviews, decision-making bases
    • Conducting workshops (Azure architectures, platform engineering, Agentic DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD, platform standards)
    • Creation of target images, roadmaps and best practices
    • Assessments of existing environments including security, compliance and operability
    • You identify technical and organizational risks at an early stage and communicate them transparently
    • Empowering customer teams instead of creating dependencies

    Your tasks in engineering

    • Setup, further development and maintenance of Azure environments, including landing zones, network and identity concepts
    • Kubernetes/AKS Engineering: Cluster Design, Upgrades, Security, Observability
    • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Bicep
    • GitOps implementation (e.g., Argo CD/Flux), Helm/Kustomize, and secret management
    • CI/CD with GitHub, GitLab and Azure DevOps
    • Gold Paths & Blueprints: Design and maintenance of standardized self-service environments with GitHub, Backstage and Crossplane
    • Observability & Monitoring: End-to-end observability with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana
    • Integrating Agentic DevOps, AI-based Engineering & Tooling into Dev and Ops workflows
    • Sparring partner for our managed services team in technical escalations

Your tasks in Pre-Sales & Tech Marketing

    • Creation of solution sketches and architectural designs for customer inquiries and tenders
    • Effort estimation and realistic project design
    • Technical support for customer meetings and pitches
    • Support in handing over won projects to the implementing team
    • Co-development of reusable consulting and workshop formats
    • Blog posts and technical deep dives for our blog
    • Speaking at conferences, meetups and webinars
    • Engagement in the cloud-native & open-source community
    • Technical content on our own products – with substance instead of marketing buzzwords

    Your profile

    • Several years of experience in the design and implementation of Azure architectures, including time in an advisory or architecture management role
    • In-depth experience with Kubernetes, ideally AKS, as well as GitOps practices
    • Very good knowledge of Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Bicep
    • Good understanding of cloud security, identity, network architecture and governance
    • Development background combined with solid operational fundamentals
    • Experience with CI/CD in GitHub, GitLab or Azure DevOps
    • Practice with Agentic DevOps and AI-based engineering/tooling
    • You can estimate expenses and cut projects – and stand by your numbers
    • You explain technical relationships in such a way that a development team and a division manager understand them equally
    • Confident in customer contact, structured in workshops and confident in documentation
    • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken

    Certifications (Plus, not required)

    • Microsoft: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert
    • CNCF: CKA/CKAD/CKS or equivalent GitHub certifications

    Working method and location

    • Remotely within Germany or in Rosenheim
    • Regular team days and company events on site in Rosenheim, occasional willingness to travel for customer workshops and conferences

  • Working Student & Interns (m/f/d)

    Activity
You will be an important part of our team and develop into a Software/AI Engineer, Platform Engineer or Project Manager and actively help with the development of our products and the implementation of our customer projects.

The internship semester period is in the winter semester from September to January of the following year, and you can apply to us between February and June.

Centrally located in Rosenheim with attractive proximity to Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences. If possible, once a week in the office on site is desired, but otherwise we allow you to work from home and arrange your time flexibly by arrangement.
