In this practical workshop, we demonstrate how AI agents can be integrated into production applications—focusing on the open-source framework Flock and the Microsoft Agent Framework in AI Foundry. After a compact overview of agent architectures (Blackboard, Tools, Memory), we will provide a live demonstration of building simple agent workflows, connecting data/tools (e.g., Azure AI Search), and typical orchestration patterns. We will then examine the Agent Framework in AI Foundry, including components, connectors, and deployment. A structured comparison of Flock vs. Microsoft (extensibility, hosting, governance, costs) shows when each approach is appropriate—and how both can be combined. To conclude, we will discuss deployment scenarios (RAG, automation, copilots), success factors, and next steps for PoCs and pilots. The target audience includes developers, architects, and decision-makers who want to move quickly from theory to implementable solutions.
