Token Control 5.0: More Flexibility, More Control, More Clarity

AI governance must fit into existing workflows, not create additional complexity. With Token Control 5.0, we address exactly that: more transparency for teams managing AI resources, and more precise control mechanisms for organizations that want to operationally embed governance.

This version is a targeted evolution based on the requirements customers mention most frequently:

  • Maintain overview when AI usage grows across multiple teams, models, and cost centers
  • Manage deployments and models without constantly switching between Azure Portal and governance platform
  • Translate organizational rules into the platform, from budget limits to model approvals to traceability at the request level

Expansion of the Cost Dashboard

The Cost Dashboard has been fundamentally redesigned. Together with the new Compliance Dashboard, these two dashboards form the core of this release.

The redesigned Cost Dashboard offers:

  • Total spending, requests, average cost per request, users, and cost centers at a glance
  • Token consumption including cached tokens, budget utilization, and top cost centers
  • Breakdown by AI models, sorted by consumption
  • Cost development per cost center over time

For users, this means: less time assembling reports, more time for actual decisions.

The New Compliance Dashboard

Completely new is the standalone Compliance Dashboard, which consolidates relevant information in one place:

  • Regional model distribution: Which model runs in which region? The Model Location Share displays the geographic distribution of AI usage at a glance.
  • Content filter overview: How many requests were blocked, filtered, or allowed? Broken down by stage (prompt, completion) and category.
  • Recent activities: Real-time view of all requests with user, cost center, model, costs, content filter status, and token consumption. Each call is traceable and searchable via the correlation ID.

Direct Integration with Azure AI Foundry

Deployments and models can now be configured and managed directly in Token Control. Azure AI Foundry endpoints are integrated without detours through the Azure Portal. Tracking and budget verification apply from the first request.

This significantly reduces operational overhead for platform teams, especially when AI resources are provisioned for multiple teams, departments, use cases, or end customers.

Governance That Scales with Your AI Usage

In addition to the new dashboards and Azure AI Foundry integration, budgets, access rights, and permitted models can be controlled more granularly than before, adapted to the reality of enterprises with multiple teams, cost centers, and different governance requirements. The result: clarity about who uses what, who is allowed to do what, and who is responsible for what.

AI usage is becoming more complex, not simpler. Models are multiplying, agents are becoming more autonomous, and the question of cost accountability is growing louder in organizations. Token Control is designed to scale with this complexity without governance becoming a bottleneck.
